I have been painting alongside my career as an architect. After completing art school at the Manchester School of Art I have painted whenever I can. I paint atmospheric landscapes in both watercolours and oils. My subjects reflect the variety of landscapes from my travels within the UK and abroad.I try to capture the spirit and atmosphere of places I have visited. Cloudscapes and seascapes are expressed in an open and clear way to capture that special moment of light and contrast that is at the heart of my paintings.
