They say life begins at 40 and for me , it certainly did.  In 2008 as well as celebrating that milestone, which 10  years previously I didnt think I'd make due to Cancer, I also qualified as a staff nurse and rediscovered my passon for art.

I use art to explore  my thoughts on life, death and creation and experimented using a variety of styles and mediums in which to try and portray this.  These range from traditional landscapes to mythology; to a fascination with deep space and the transformation of energy from one state to another,  to the beauty of inner space e.g the micro antomy of blood cells.  At present I prefer to work in acrylics which allow me a greater flexibilty . In all my paintings I endevour to create movement to try and capture contrasts in colour and light, and hope that the veiwer gets as much enjoyment from viewing my paintings as I do creating them .
