| A retired primary school teacher my art is inspired by a love of colour, journeys around the world and nature. I enjoyed teaching children to use various media to express themselves in artwork but found it very frustrating that I was unable to express myself until I retired and found time for my own work. I paint mainly in oils as I love the texture and colour you can get using this media. I particularly likes using a pallette knife to achieve the raised texture effect. I am attracted to subjects for painting by the colour and composition. I love the peace and fulfillment I have got through painting and hope others will get some enjoyment from it. |
