I  am a self taught artist living in Kent and though having been a leisure painter for many years it is only recently that I have exhibited via a local art club.

Having had  very encouraging comments from fellow amateur and professional artists I decided to raise my profile and exhibit my work on the internet.

I work in various mediums and have dabbled in different styles though I prefer doing landscapes in oils and acrylics.

Recently I started doing animal portraits in pastels which have had a very good reception and resulted in several commissions.

There are a few examples of my work in the Animal Gallery and should you wish to commission a picture of your pet please contact me. I can work from good quailty well focused photographs or would visit to take my own. I choose to  work from photographs rather than life as not many pets will sit still for four or five hours !!!

  
I have travelled widely and lived in Africa for several years so I have many a sketch book and photograph for ideas so much of my work is inspired by the 'Dark Continent'
