Works maintain the
exploration and experimentation experienced as a student in the 60s based on a
wide range of subject matter and differing methods and media including the juxtaposition
of the geometric shapes and lines. An over-riding aim
has been to stimulate the viewer to consider and be visually excited by the tones, colours, shapes, forms and textures of the subject. Like Monet, working in front of the motif or
subject, whether it's a figure study, harbour scene, animal pictures or the
built environment is essential.
