  Now Sold . Original acrylic painting on box canvas, 50cm square and approx 2cm depth. All edges of the canvas are painted, so framing is not necessary. A group of dandelion seed-clocks has been given an abstract effect by omitting the plant stems and focusing on the seeding heads. The foreground trio has been textured with acrylic gel before overpainting in shades of blue, metallic blue and iridescent white.

The remaining seedheads are painted with mixes of blue, deep purple and metallic lustre. Flying seeds are represented with sprayed and flicked paint, in shades of metallic blue, silver and white. The deep blue-black background acts as a foil for the shimmering colours and myriads of tiny dots. An unusual, striking image that catches the light and will make a strong focal point.
